The following is a doctrinal statement of the beliefs of Castle Rock Christian Fellowship.
We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three persons; God, the Father; God, the Son; and God, the Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus Christ was virgin-born, sinless, died on the cross for our sins, was raised from the dead on the third day and is coming again.
We believe the Bible is divinely inspired and is the inerrant Word of God.
We believe that salvation is a free gift. We are saved when we confess and repent of our sins, believe in Jesus Christ, and confess Him as Lord. We are saved by grace, not by works. Upon salvation we are eternally secure in Jesus Christ and will spend eternity in heaven.
We believe that baptism is by immersion and is an act of obedience to, and a public profession of faith in Jesus Christ. Baptism is not a means or a guarantee of salvation. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life.
We believe the Lord’s Supper is a symbolic act of obedience whereby the believers in Christ, through partaking of the bread and the fruit of the vine, memorialize the death of Jesus Christ and anticipate His second coming.
We believe the church is the bride of Christ and the body of Christ. We believe that every believer has direct access to God through Jesus Christ, has individual experiences which cause them to know the reality of God’s presence in their life and are to use their spiritual gifts in the church body to minister and bring glory to God. The purpose of the church is to fulfill the Great Commission as stated in Matthew 28:18-20.
